- Grew up in: Portland, OR
- Family: Wife: Lacey
- Occupation: Rick Copeland’s “yes man”
- Your roles and responsibilities at Crossview: Family and Counseling Pastor, I oversee the small group and children’s ministries, as well as providing individual or couples counseling as needed.
- How you ended up at Crossview: My wife and I visited many churches in the area after moving to the Tri-cities a year ago. We were blessed by the community and Christ-centered focus we found here.
- Hobbies: Playing guitar, singing, leading worship when Grant lets me
I love reading, people watching, most outdoor activities and sports.
Favorites
- Favorite Books: Okay. I’m a big book nerd. Favorite books of the Bible: Nehemiah, James, Acts. Other books: A new kind of Christian, Simple Church, Surprised by Hope, Church History in Plain Language, The Agony and the Ecstasy, and the entire “Tin-Tin” comic series.
- Favorite Movies: Armageddon is the best movie ever made. After that I really enjoy fantasy and action, so Lord of the Rings, Chronicles of Naria, etc. Chariots of Fire, and the biography of Rick Copeland.
- Favorite Bands/Music: Really getting into Jesus Culture, I pretty much like all genres of music except for techno and maybe most kinds of screamo.
- Favorite Word: Wowza.
- Favorite Television Character and Why: Chuck. Because he’s Chuck.
- Favorite Cartoon Character and Why: The robot from Duck Tales, I wanted to be him when I was younger. And last week.
- Favorite Place to Visit: Altadena, CA. You should go sometime.
- Favorite Place You’d Like to Visit: Oh man, lots of places. Somewhere with nice beaches, warm water, drinks with umbrellas in them.
- A Few Other Favorite Things: Pad Thai, Victory motorcycles, Taylor guitars, Seahawks, Broncos, being with friends!

- Secret Talent: I can fly. Literally. Just not when people are watching.
- Wildest Dream: Open a gluten-free bakery.
- What gets you Excited? Watching God work to accomplish his work through people!
- What gets you Bummed? Rainy days.

- Your Hope and Vision for Crossview: To engage, equip, and evangelize. I want to see the people of Crossview become a church of disciplers and spiritual warriors.
- How long have you known the Lord? Since 1998.

- How you ended up at Crossview: I was one of just a couple guys in men’s bible study that eventually turned into Crossview. It’s been an amazing ride and God has been “flexing” the whole time!
- Hobbies: Relaxing with family and friends, archery hunting, fishing (pretty much all things outdoors), playing guitar, playing the Wii…

- Favorite Books: Wild at Heart by John Eldredge, Prey by Stephen King
- Favorite Movies: Goonies, The Princess Bride, and basically every action movie ever created.
- Favorite Bands/Music: I listen to most all things on the air ways these days
- Favorite Word: ……then a subtle “head nod”
- Favorite Television Character and Why: Easy, MacGyver, hands down! His cunning intellect and resourcefulness plus I love that mullet.
- Favorite Place to Visit: Hawaii, been there once.
- Favorite Place You’d Like to Visit: Louisiana
- A Few Other Favorite Things: Favorite Food: German chocolate cake, Favorite Pizza: yes, Favorite Hot Sauce: Tapatio, Favorite Coffee Shop, Starbucks, Pants? Carhart. Guitar? Les Paul. Singer? Garth Brooks. Store? Cabela’s. Fast Food? Ahhh, the golden arches of McDonalds. T.V. Show? Already anwered this- MacGyver. Branch of the Military? Never joined, but am very thankful for the service of all men and women who protect this amazing country!

- Education: BA Degree Whitworth University 2002, MA Teaching Grand Canyon University 2005 , Grad Studies Certificate in Theology Western Seminary 2007
- How you ended up at Crossview: It all started in my living room as a bible study and God grew it to become a family of believers.
- Hobbies: Laughing with my wife (which especially is fun while watching The Office television show), Playing the guitar for my son, hanging out with the family in the backyard or park, and water skiing at flathead lake.

- Favorite Books: Well besides the Bible, A Grace Disguised by Gerry Sittser, and as a kid I always loved Hatchet by Gary Paulson.
- Favorite Movies: Braveheart, Nacho Libre, Disney cartoon Robin Hood, and Howl’s Moving Castle.
- Favorite Bands/Music: Switchfoot, Jesus Culture, Hillsong United, The Muse, and my brother’s band Dance Illuminate
- Favorite Word: Besides Jesus….Laura(I’m a sap)
- Favorite Television Character and Why: Dwight Shrute
- Favorite Cartoon Character and Why: Baloo the Bear from Tale Spin, The jungle Book, and Robin Hood,
- Favorite Place to Visit: Montana, not crowded except with trees. I love to water ski, campfire, and just relax at flat head lake.
