What To Expect

It is never easy to visit a new church for the first time so we want to be as helpful as we can to make your experience a good one.

Dress

Let’s talk about how you should dress. A few people dress up, but for the most part people choose to dress down and come casual.  The Bible says that when God looks at a man (or women) He judges them by what’s in their heart, not by what is on the outside.  So, we here at Crossview seek to do the same.  Come the way that you feel most comfortable.  As long as you wear something.

Greeting

Once you walk through the front doors of either of our two campuses you’ll be met by friendly volunteers ready to serve you or answer any questions you might have. They will help guide you to nursery area, the information tables, and to the area where the service will be held. They are there for you!

Nursery Check in

Leaving your children with a stranger can be tough, that is why we have made every effort to create a safe and comfortable environment for kids at Crossview. Our Children’s Ministry team works hard so that you can focus on having a great experience in the service without having to worry about the safety or well being of your child. All of our volunteers are required to have a background check and have been cleared and deemed safe to work with your children. We also take every precaution to insure that your child is in a clean and germ free environment by washing all of the toys and sanitizing often. When you register your child at the check in desk, you will receive a number.  Please do not loose this number as it will be the only way to pick up your child. Should we need your assistance, we will place that number on the projection screen in the service so you can slip out and attend to your child.

The Service

Sit wherever you feel comfortable and don’t worry about anyone making you stand up or say your name. At Crossview we work hard to provide you with an exciting experience where you can connect with God. The band kicks off the service with a couple of pretty high-energy rockin’ songs that you will enjoy. Their passion for God is pretty contagious, so feel free to dance, clap, sing or just stand there and meditate on the words. Either way, we want your experience to be a comfortable one. The words to the music and any Scripture used during the service will be on the projection screen for you to follow. There will be some announcements, a video or two, sometimes a special guest and a few unexpected surprises. We promise you that a  service at Crossview is anything but boring.

The Message (Sermon)

Each week you will hear a message from one of our amazing pastors. They are all  passionate about how the Bible leads us into truth and are always giving practical Biblical wisdom that can be applied to our daily lives.  Here at Crossview we seek to teach the Bible chapter by chapter, verse by verse.  So, you will usually find us in the middle of a series on one of the books of the Bible.  Don’t worry though, all of the messages are recorded for both video and podcast so you can catch up.  We trust that these messages will help you develop a growing, vibrant relationship with Jesus Christ and give you a strong biblical foundation for your life.

Giving

You may realize at the end of the service that you didn’t see the offering plate go by. Well, that is because we believe that the act of giving is an act of worship, and therefore, between you and God. If you are feeling led to give, we provide Giving Boxes in the foyer for you to do that at your convenience.

Communion

Once a month we celebrate communion and we do so in a way that may be a little different then what you are used to.  At the conclusion of the message someone will come forward and share about the Lord’s Supper and then invite those that wish to partake, to come forward at their leisure.  There is no formality to it, simply go forward when you are ready and take communion.  During this time the band will play through a couple of songs and you are free to leave whenever you are finished worshiping.

Connection Card

If you are visiting Crossview for the first time, we would love it if you would help us by filling out a Connection Card. This way we can get to know you better, get you the information that you are seeking about a certain ministry, or just simply pray for you or any needs that you may have.

We’re glad that you are considering checking out Crossview. If there is anything that we can do to additionally accommodate you and your worship experience, feel free to email us by clicking Here.
