In Gensis 32: 24-30 we learn of the story of Jacob and how he wrestled with God, scripture reads; "24 So Jacob was left alone, and a man wrestled with him till daybreak. 25 When the man saw that he could not overpower him, he touched the socket of Jacob’s hip so that his hip was wrenched as he wrestled with the man. 26 Then the man said, “Let me go, for it is daybreak.”
But Jacob replied, “I will not let you go unless you bless me.”
27 The man asked him, “What is your name?”
“Jacob,” he answered.
28 Then the man said, “Your name will no longer be Jacob, but Israel,[a] because you have struggled with God and with humans and have overcome.”
29 Jacob said, “Please tell me your name.”
But he replied, “Why do you ask my name?” Then he blessed him there.
30 So Jacob called the place Peniel,[b] saying, “It is because I saw God face to face, and yet my life was spared.”
 

Many times, we wrestle with life's dilemmas, putting them before family or work and letting them rule our character. Most people never get the chance to be spared from them like Jacob was. This unique story of Jacobs persistence and determination is what drives our Grappling with God ministry! We believe that now more than ever, people are wrestling with the wrong things, those things rob people from their joy, marriages, careers, parenting, their love for people and sadly it seeks to kill, steal and destroy!

Grappling with God is a unique way to free yourself from the strongholds of life and seek out a new meaning and purpose of what God wants for you. Each class has a gospel centered testimony to help grow your spiritual walk, you can trust that will open new doors and opportunities to building a lasting relationship with our Lord and Savior and build a new community of friendships. Jesus made the ultimate submission on the Cross, fulfilling prophecy, conquering hell and the grave to return to give us a chance at life and life abundantly!

Whatever you're wrestling with let it go and let God lead the way!

We believe that going to church and Jiu Jitsu is scary if you don't normally attend so we are taking these two methods of teaching and merging them together, offering a cool gospel centered experience, with the great sport of Jiu Jitsu! 

Grappling is so much more than just a sport; it's self-defense as well as physical and mental discipline. 

We would love to see heaven more crowded, and this ministry helps us break down the walls of defense to provide a fun experience where you just want more of both!
